Dental Veneers are helpful for a variety of dental problems. The restorations excel at hiding cosmetic deformities you may have. Since they sit on top of your teeth, they can close gaps, hide stains, and provide tooth size uniformity. In essence, they create that sparkling smile you see amongst Hollywood Stars.
Getting veneers placed is a multistep process that occurs in 2 visits for most patients. During the first visit, the dentist will take an impression of your teeth. This impression will help the dental lab create the custom fit ones. Then next comes the tooth prep. During the prep, our cosmetic dentist will remove a small portion of your enamel. Soon after, a temporary veneer is placed onto your prepped tooth using removable glue. During this time, we recommend being careful with brushing and eating. The temporary one can move quickly with the removable adhesive holding it in place.
The second visit happens when the lab finishes the permanent veneer. Your dentist will remove the temporary and place the permanent one in its place. Once the dentist makes any adjustments for fit, they are bonded into place.
